Trivia[]
- A Japanese trailer came out on of February, 17th 2021[1].
- The Japanese Trailer shows different footage from the English trailer.
- An English trailer with the American release date came out on February 19, 2021. [2]
- The trailer received negative reviews from viewers on both Twitter and YouTube, despite the game having yet to be released.
- The reason for the negative reviews is either because the people are uninterested in or strongly dislike the show, or because of the "terrible" graphics.
- The trailer shows that Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman are all playable characters. Zatanna, Green Lantern, and Bumblebee are non-player characters.
- This is similar to Super Best Friends Forever, as they were the only three characters made at the time (except Wonder Woman, who is instead Wonder Girl).
- The gameplay shares similarities to Persona series.
- This is the first DCSHG video game exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
- Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Star Sapphire are revealed to be playable characters. Poison Ivy, Giganta, and Livewire are allies, bosses or non-playable characters.
- In a video they show that Livewire and Giganta will be allies, but it remains unknown if Poison Ivy will be an ally, a playable character or a boss.
- In the game, Carol is shown in her red cheerleading outfit (which she wore in Hate Triangle) rather than her pink one she always wears in the series.
- Several of the alternative skins used by the playable characters are based on other versions of themselves, both in the comics and their various adaptations:
- Batgirl: Her hero outfits are from her stages in DC Rebirth and "The Art of the Crime" arc.
- Supergirl: Her hero outfits are from her DCAU version in Superman: The Animated Series and the New 52 stage.
- Wonder Woman: Her hero outfits are from the New 52 stage.
- Harley Quinn: Her villain outfit with her hair painted in red-black and her white skin is based on her New 52 stage, while her civilian clothes alternate in red and black with the white t-shirt is inspired by her DC Rebirth stage.
- Star Sapphire: Her villain outfits are directly taken from different facets in the comics: the classic outfit from the Silver Age (pink with white) and the one from her New 52 stage (magenta and black).
- Catwoman: Her villain outfits are also taken from the comics, both from the New Earth and Earth Prime stages.
