Seeing Red Transcript
"Seeing Red" is the fifth webisode of Season 3 of the DC Super Hero Girls webseries.
It is a direct contination of the previous episode (Tales From the Kryptomites Part 2). Starfire pursues the red kryptomite that Harley Quinn kept at the end of the previous episode as it causes mayhem around the school with its anger-inducing powers.
Production[]
The title of this webisode refers to a metaphor of being angry. The title is also the name of the four-part arc that appeared in issues #69–72 of Green Arrow (Vol. 3) in addition to the Season 2 episode of Arrow.
Summary[]
Poison Ivy opens her locker and is surprised by spring-loaded snakes. Harley Quinn begins to laugh as Ivy angrily expresses disapproval at her prank. Harley then remarks that pranks could only be appreciated by people with good humor. Starfire flies past them, questioning why they were arguing with each other.
As she continues to fly down the SHHS hallway, she notices more people fighting and arguing. Hawkgirl gives the Flash three weeks of detention while lifting him off the ground, while he taunts her defiantly. Thunder accuses Lightning of wearing her headband without permission, before Lightning shocks her and takes it back, replying that it looks better on her. Their argument escalates into a fight with their powers. Starfire looks into Principal Waller's office, where she sees Vice Principal Grodd smashing her desk in anger over a vacation he asked for three months ago. Principal Waller responds by flipping him against a wall, saying she may of heard him had he had enunciated better. Starfire looks on in shock before flying away. In their dorm, Wonder Woman has Batgirl in her Lasso of Truth, accusing of breaking the "roommate treaty" before questioning her on how long she was in the bathroom. Batgirl replies snidely while tossing Wonder Woman a Batarang, which soon zaps her before Batgirl tackles her.
In the Weaponomics classroom, Supergirl tries to use her heat vision on Beast Boy, who dodges it and changes into a wolf before biting Supergirl's head. Unaffected, Supergirl, grabs him by the tail and spins him over her head before tossing him away, just as Starfire arrives and sees them fighting. Beast Boy then changes into a tiger; as the two begin to charge at each other, Starfire appears between them and tries to break up the fight. She then sees a red kryptomite and remembers that it can make humans angry, but Mr. Fox's studies prove that it cannot affect her due to her Tamaraean physiology. Starfire quickly lunges at it as it hides behind the podium. Unable to find it after lifting up the podium, Starfire asks Supergirl to help her with her x-ray vision. When Supergirl expresses disinterest in helping her, Starfire tells her that she would be upset if she told her where it went. Supergirl then directs her out of the classroom.
In the corridor, Starfire chases after the red kryptomite, however, it uses its abilities to make Ivy summon vines which catch Starfire and pin her to the wall. Ivy comments on her "weird" flying while Harley insults her outfit. In an effort to stop the Krypomite, Starfire insults the awful odor of Ivy's anti-Kryptomite chemical, saying she would not want to be sprayed with it. This prompts Ivy to pull out a gun of the chemical out of her locker to spray it at her. Starfire then breaks free from the vines with her laser vision, and flies in front of the Kryptomite. Ivy aims the chemical in her direction, and Starfire flies out of the way, allowing the chemical to hit the Kryptomite and causing it to shrivel up.
Ivy and Harley are then freed from the effects of the kryptomite, with Harley suffering from a severe headache. Starfire presents them with the shriveled kryptomite and explains how it was making them act hostily to each other. Harley recognizes it and grabs it, before trying to cover that she was hiding it in her room before running away. Ivy then thanks Starfire for saving them, as Starfire, still covered in the chemical tells her that she now needs to take a shower due to the chemical's truly awful smell. As she flies to the bathroom, she passes by Principal Waller who agrees to give Grodd Friday off as well as the following Monday. She also passes by Thunder and Lighting who apologize to each other, as well as Hawkgirl who apologizes to the Flash.
